WOW!!

Little Andrew is still having tummy troubles. The last couple of days he has projectile vomited all over the place! He is definitely helping me with my fear of PUKE! The funny thing is.. as soon as he is done vomiting, he gives me a look of relief and wants to eat some more. The doctor has increased his meds, so I am hoping this works.. if not, I will be beside myself! This poor little guy needs some relief! Isabella is still cutting the last of her eye teeth! Poor little girl is miserable. She was up last night at 3:00 a.m. and didn't fall back to sleep until about 5:30 a.m.! She was up at 9:00 a.m.! I don't know how she functions.. but she was in a pretty good mood this morning. She is really loving her kitchen!

The day after Christmas

Twas the day after Christmas...... OH BOY, as my little girl would say! What a fabulous Christmas we had. The best part of course was spending our time with family. Isabella was so cute when she walked down the stairs to find her kitchen from Santa! She wanted to cook some "shoup" as she calls it right away. To see the look on her face was absolutely priceless. She also got a little play piano, doll, violet the dog, books and doodle pad from Santa. Needless to say, she was a happy little girl. It was such a joy to hold one of the best early Christmas presents that I received this year. My precious little boy. He is getting sweeter and sweeter each day. He has such a great disposition about himself. Hoping to get his tummy troubles straightened out. I hate seeing him in pain. My husband surprised me with a gift certificate to the spa for Christmas. I was surprised because we had gotten a fancy camera as our Christmas present this year. I am so lucky to have such a wonderful and caring hubby! I love you babe! I look forward to spending another year together and watching our two little angels grow! My New Year's Resolution this year is to get back into shape and learn how to cook more! I just need to master the best time to do this. My goal is to get both babies on the same nap schedule. I am planning on starting weight watchers again after the first of the year. This is how I lost my baby weight the first time around. I also plan on exercising more. The saying that keeps me going is.... My designer jeans taste better than any sweet!!!

MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE!!

Merry Christmas Eve!!! I woke up with a killer headache today and a scratchy throat!! Hoping I am not getting what Doug had the last couple of weeks!! Took some heavy duty motrin and my vitamin B12 and B6. Let's hope I can knock it out before it turns into something major. I think Isabella is starting to cut her 2 year molars!! I am praying they break through rather quickly!! She has been such a terrible teether. Hoping Andrew does much better with the teething than she did. I am really excited to see Isabella open presents this year. She is going to be so excited. MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Tis the Season!!

WOW!! Where did the year go? It feels like yesterday that we were getting ready to celebrate Isabella's first Christmas!! Now, we are getting ready to celebrate our precious little Andrew's first Christmas. I feel like there is so much to do with so little time! We have to finish up the gifts for our parents. Hopefully print the picture of the babies for the great-grandparent gifts (they may be a little late) and I still need to find something to wear for Christmas Eve and Christmas. What was I thinking to purge all of my clothes before moving to Michigan? I know some people say, "I have nothing to wear." I literally have NOTHING to wear. I have spent most of the two years in maternity clothes. Which by the way I was able to zip and button my size 6 jeans the other day. Quite an accomplishment because after the birth of Isabella it took me 7 months to do that and 9 months to fit back into my designer jeans. Of course, when Isabella was 10 months old I found out I was pregnant with Andrew. I made a vow to myself that I would take better care of myself and not gain as much weight. I am glad I stuck to that vow because it is slowly paying off. I still have 20 pounds to lose and I am determined to do it. I am planning on joining weight watchers and join a gym after the first of the year. My body needs a little break before we try for baby number 3. We have decided to wait a year and half before trying again. We want to enjoy this time with our two special angels. Plus, I need to master having two babies before we add another one to the mix. Well, on to finish some last minute tasks. Merry Christmas!

WHAT A DAY!!!!

I am sure I am going to look back on this day and laugh!!! So, poor little Andrew is still having tummy problems even after being on zantac. The doctor sent us to St. Joseph hospital in Ann Arbor this morning. It would have been fine and good had I received more notice. I had 30 minutes to get the kids ready, get myself dressed and get out the door. Well, to my amazement I did it. Poor Isabella's hair was all over the place and she looked like she just woke up, I looked like I just rolled out of bed and Andrew looked like a little doll after his bath. We got to the hospital on time and of course I parked in the wrong spot. Who knew that there were two different imaging places at the hospital? There was a really nice woman who helped us and called a shuttle so I didn't have to pack the kids back up in the car. We finally arrived in the right spot at 11:15 a.m. Of course our appointment was at 10:45! The woman who did Andrew's ultrasound was more than understanding and was surprised that I made it there even at 11:15. Isabella was such a little trooper. She knows when we go to Andrew's appointments that she gets a snack. THANK GOODNESS I had some stored in the diaper bag. Poor girl didn't even have a cup of water packed for her. She was so understanding about it and told me that we would get some water when we get home! Her reaction of course surprised me because normally when I tell her I don't have water a major tantrum takes place. We were in such a hurry to get to the hospital that I didn't even pack her a diaper. Well, of course she decides it would be a great time to go poop. That just added to my morning. So, now I have a little girl who stinks and a poor little guy getting his tummy checked out. Well, the ultrasound came back just fine. Now I am sitting here waiting for the Dr. to call me back to see what the next step is. Hoping she is going to try him on another medication. Poor little guy just screams after he eats and spits up all over the place. I feel so helpless because I don't know what to do for him. Just praying we get to the bottom of it. At the time of everything going on all I wanted to do was cry. I kept telling myself that I could handle it and surprisingly we are all at home and both kids are sleeping. The whole situation has shown me that I can handle more than I think I can.

YAHOO!!!

Well, last night we hit a milestone. Andrew slept 6 hours straight. I was amazed when I heard him moving around in his bassinet and took a look at the clock and it read 3:00 a.m.!! I am hoping we are moving closer to sleeping through the night. While I enjoy our late night dates, I also enjoy a full night of sleep. Since Isabella is a ball of energy I need my energy to keep up with her. This morning Andrew decided to pee all over himself so he got a morning bath. Isabella was a huge help. She is the shampoo lady. She hands me the shampoo and talks to him while I wash his hair. It is amazing to see what a terrific big sister she is becoming. She definitely loves her little brother. Isabella found a pair of her sunglasses this morning and hasn't taken them off. Pictures to follow. She looks so cute. I am waiting for the Dr. to call me back. Zantac doesn't seem to be working for Andrew. He is still pretty fussy after eatings. I am hoping we can get to the bottom of things and make his little tummy feel better. I hate seeing him in pain. She had mentioned that if it didn't work that they may have to do an ultrasound on his belly. We will see what happens. Have a terrific day!!! Keep Smiling :)

Have yourself a merry little Christmas!

Our holiday season is off to a terrific start! We are extra blessed with two slices of heaven in our lives. Isabella is now 20 months old!! I can hardly believe where the time went. It seems like yesterday I was starring into her beautiful blue eyes for the first time. She is such a ham. She has a love for singing. She can sing her ABC's, twinkle twinkle, you are my sunshine, row row row your boat, and if she hears a song on the radio she starts humming! She is also a fabulous counter! She counts 1-20 without a problem. We are enrolling her in pre-school this February to start in the fall. I get misty eyed just thinking about it. We were so happy to welcome handsome little Andrew to our family on November 12th at 1:55 p.m. Doug and I kept the gender a surprise this time around. Both of us were convinced we were having another little girl.To our surprise we welcomed the most precious little boy to our family! Andrew is named after his great-grandpas and they couldn't be prouder. Poor little Andrew has already endured minor surgery. He was born tongue tied, so they had to put him under anesthesia and fix it.He had the surgery at St. Joe's Hospital where daddy works, so we were treated extra special. I think the surgery bothered us more than him. He has also been diagnosed with acid reflux. He is on zantac twice a day. Other than that.. he is doing well!! He is a pretty good sleeper. He wakes up at 1:30 a.m. and 4:30 a.m. for feedings each night. A little hard to wake up, but I enjoy our little "dates" as I like to call them at night. I have come to realize that this time goes by so quickly, so I am trying to enjoy every little bit of it!!! Doug is enjoying his new job at St. Joes. Hey says, everyone is super nice to work with! We are gradually getting use to living back in Michigan. It is so nice to be back around our family and friends! We do miss those terrific friends we made in Atlanta!! Not to mention the wonderful restaurants and mild weather. I have to learn how to drive in the snow all over again!!!!! We wish all of you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
